Lamb Fasoulia with Siciliana Sauce & chickpeas

Rich and wholesome side dish

  • INGREDIENTS

    500 g Lamb Meat or 2 cm diced

    3 tbsp Olive Oil

    200 g Onion chopped

    3 cloves Garlic crushed finely

    1 tsp Cumin

    2 tsp Curry Powder

    1 tsp Paprika Powder

    500 g Delicio® Siciliana Sauce

    250 g chick peas drained

    250 g green peas drained or frozen

    Salt and black pepper

  • DIRECTIONS

    In a large saucepan, brown the lamb meat in olive oil.

    Add onions and garlic and stir well.

    Add cumin, curry powder, paprika powder and some salt and black pepper and cook for few minutes.

    Add the Siciliana Sauce.

    Stir and combine well.

    Place the lid and reduce heat to low and cook until meat is tender (could take over 1 hour but depends the quality of the meat).

    Add the green peas and chicken peas and bring to a boil.

    Flavor with salt & black pepper.
